The World of the Left Brain cannot change before the Problems are Recognized

There are some important psychological insights in this recent interview with psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist, regarding the need for an internal awereness in the Left Brain that something is wrong. This is the first necessary step towards improvement, both on the individual level if there is a left hemispheric imbalance and dominance in the psyche, but also collectively in a culture that is drifting into the Hall of Mirrors of the Left brain. This might be unusually hard to detect at the moment, after the advent of new technologies that alter our perceptions and gradually erode the connection to reality. The challenge and seriousness, might therefore be even more important.
